nearly every country in the world.

as the #1 Graduate School of Education in the nation.
I received my graduate degrees (M.A., Ed.M., and
Ed.D. respectively) from the
Department of Curriculum and Teaching, here at Teachers College, Columbia University.
My doctoral dissertation is titled "Elementary School Teacher Development: A Study of
Professional Development Opportunities in Turkish Schools", and I worked with
Professor Linda
Darling-Hammond.
In my dissertation study, I tried to explore ways for teachers to help each other for
their own professional growth without depending others. Some of the techniques that could
be used for teachers' professional development
includes mentoring, and peer
coaching.
I have a baby boy named Can. You could see his latest pictures in his own web page.
I would like to share my favorite poem with the visitors of this page. It is called "The Shepperds of Thousand Lakes" (Bingöl Çobanlari) written by Kemalettin Kamu.
